"Circles" is a song based on four looping patterns in three movements.

Each piano note in the opening riff is in a different time signature. One's in 4/4, the next is in 5/4, then 6/4, and the last is in 7/4. They interplay until they finally come together again. Once the resolution is reached (all four notes playing once in unison,) the pattern starts again - but in a different key and with variations to the instrumentation and beat. Through it all, though, the time signature pattern of the piano underneath cycles through each of the three movements.
